The Pokémon x Kogei Art Exhibition Is Coming To Los Angeles

Open to the public, the Pokémon x Kogei art exhibition will take place at Japan House

A unique collection of artwork for the Pokémon x Kogei art exhibition is scheduled to debut this summer in Los Angeles. More than 70 works of art created by 20 gifted artists are included in the collaboration between The Pokémon Company and LA’s Japan House, showing their talents in a variety of media including lacquer, ceramics, textiles, metalwork, and more.

The Pokémon x Kogei is broken up into three parts (Life, Stories, Appearance) and features a wide variety of Pokémon-related artwork. Pikachu is the subject of the “Stories” section, which includes the “Pikachu Forest” installation made of over 900 strands of lace stretched from the ceiling and transforming it into a magical forest full of electrifying yellow squirrels.

Artwork depicting Eevee and its different evolutions, such as Jolteon, Vaporeon, and Flareon, may be seen in the “Appearance” section. The last segment, “Life,” showcases a wide range of unique Pokémon. The Pokémon x Kogei art exhibition offers a distinctive viewpoint on the adored pocket monsters while focusing on the craft of production rather than standard drawings and paintings.
