G-Dragon and Nike Air Force 1 Collaboration
G-Dragon and Nike join forces to create the G-Dragon and Nike Air Force 1 collaboration. G-Dragon is a South Korean rapper and is also known as a fashion designer.
Last year G-Dragon had a collaboration with Nike and they made a black version of recent G-Dragon AF1s with the same design as this year’s shoe but in black. G-Dragon loved the design so much he decided to go and make another pair a year later but this time in white.
The G-Dragon and Nike Air Force 1 Collaboration shoe has an all-white canvas background with a black Nike swoosh, black laces, and black marks on the midsole. On the tongue of the shoe is a flower that looks like a sunflower except the petals are black and the inside of the petals is a yellow circle. The bottom of the shoe appears to look as if someone stepped in black paint or just played basketball on a blacktop court.
The G-Dragon and Nike Air Force 1 Collaboration uses great colors with small details, the whole shoe gives a summer vibe. The insoles of the shoe are black and white the right sole says “Flower is the youth.”. The left insole has a flower similar to the one on the tongue but the petals are white instead of black. The box of the sneaker has the same design as the insoles on the exterior of the box.
G-Dragon wants to spread a message with his work he wants to create an environment where anyone can express themselves: “With these footsteps being connected, we will find our utopia spreading in front of our eyes. I dream of every one of you expressing yourselves freely in the Youtopia that you create for yourselves.”.
The shoe released on November 25 globally on Nike.com with a retail price of $200.
