Disney Reveals Avatar 3 Concept Art

Here’s an official look at the Avatar 3 concept art

Only a few months have passed since 2022’s Avatar: the Way of Water hit theaters, but now there is a sneak peek at the Avatar 3 concept art used for the next sequel. Disney has released new images with never before seen artwork of the other beautiful regions of Pandora. Let’s take a look!

The Avatar 3 concept art shows how Pandora is diversified, with icy mountains, a rumbling volcano, and even a scorching desert. The atmospheric artworks showcase many locations of the planet and allude to the presence of other ethnic groups, including the “ash people.”

The themes from both the first and second Avatar films steer clear away from any kind of fire or heat, but one of the concepts featuring a hot desert sun tells us that the third installment of the series has other plans. Expect to see a lot more orange and red instead of the usual blues and greens we’re accustomed to in Pandora.

Lore warriors may already know this, but those “ash people” mentioned earlier may come from the cold, snowy mountains. The people shown in the concept hint at this, and we can’t wait to see how they will turn out to look.

If you’ve skimmed ahead to the last image of the Avatar 3 concept art, yes, those are floating mountains. Similar to the “Hallelujah Mountains” from the first Avatar film, we see a separate desert location in this concept. It’s amusing that unlike the previous two movies, Avatar 3 won’t be focused on a single environment.

Hats off to James Cameron and Disney — now they’ve got us even more excited. Avatar 3 is scheduled to premiere on December 20, 2024.
