Brain Dead x ASICS GEL-Nimbus 9 Launches At Paris Fashion Week

A general release of the Brain Dead x ASICS GEL-Nimbus 9 follows on January 24

The Brain Dead x ASICS GEL-Nimbus 9 is the latest collaboration from Japanese sportswear company ASICS and Los Angeles-based streetwear label Brain Dead. ASICS’ technical prowess and Brain Dead’s artistic flare are expertly merged in this sneaker’s performance attributes and its distinctive style.

With an upper made of leather, suede, and mesh, the Brain Dead x ASICS GEL-Nimbus 9 has an earth toned color scheme with a blend of maroon and orange. The design is further enhanced by the stark contrast between the vivid colors and the darker olive base of the shoe. The rubber tongue, heel, and label are decorated with Brain Dead’s and ASICS co-branding, giving the sneaker a unique appearance.

Apart from its looks, this sneaker has several features that make it an ideal choice for athletes and anyone looking for comfortable and supportive footwear. The ASICS GEL cushioning system, which has been a staple of the brand for years, provides maximum shock absorption and cushioning, reducing the impact on the wearer’s feet. The ASICS Trusstic System reduces the shoe’s weight while maintaining structural integrity, resulting in a more supportive and durable shoe.

The Brain Dead x ASICS GEL-Nimbus 9 collaboration is a part of Brain Dead’s ongoing series of partnerships with major sportswear brands. The brand has previously worked with Converse and Vans, among others, to reimagine iconic designs with their unique perspective.

“ASICS has always been a brand that we’ve admired, and it’s been incredible to work with them to create something that showcases our strengths,” said Brain Dead co-founder Kyle Ng.

Launching after Paris Fashion Week, the sneaker will retail for $170 and is available in limited quantities.
