The Year of the Rabbit Dunk Lows pay tribute to the Rabbit zodiac
Nike has revealed the new Year Of The Rabbit Dunk Lows, and they might just be the luckiest pair of sneakers you can cop in 2023. Thought to be the luckiest of all zodiac animals in the twelve-year cycle of the Lunar Calendar, this new color combination should be a nice addition to any shoe collector.
The Nike Year Of The Rabbit Dunk Lows feature a style that is reminiscent of the Air Force 1 model that was first introduced in 2011. Its mudguards, lacing systems, and heel counters are all in a soft white leather. The heel counter even has a hopping rabbit embossed onto it.
Touches of “Crimson” and “Varsity Royal” can be found on the shoe’s laces, tongue, heel tabs, and swoosh. To distinguish the pair’s left and right shoe, the swooshes are done in chenille fabric with Crimson on the outer swooshes and Varsity Royal on the inners. Now that’s a nice touch, literally and figuratively.
The tongue tabs include the Chinese Earth Branch character sewn onto them, and the back tabs are branded with the classic Nike logo. A hidden feature hides within the shoe’s insoles and holds an illustration of the same hopping rabbit found on the heel counter.
Another feature found on the sneaker that might get overlooked are the year-specific lace dubraes displaying “2023. In celebration of the previous Year of the Rabbit, “2011” detailing can be seen under the sneaker’s milky sole.
