New Disneyland Avatar Experience Announced

The new Disneyland Avatar experience will arrive at Disneyland Anaheim

A big Disney treat is incoming for Southern California residents and tourists as a brand new Disneyland Avatar experience has been confirmed. After the spectacular release of Avatar: The Way of Water, Disney CEO Bob Iger made the announcement in a blog plot during a Q1 2023 earnings call.

“I’m thrilled to announce that we will be bringing an exciting ‘Avatar’ experience to Disneyland,” said Iger. “We’ll be sharing more details on that very soon.”

According to reports, Disney outperformed Wall Street forecasts with a revenue of $23.51 billion. Disney Parks, Experiences and Products revenues for the quarter increased 21% to $8.7 billion thanks in large part to strong performances from Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and the Disney Cruise Line.

Iger explained to investors how Disney extends its key intellectual assets across its broad commercial portfolio in the new Disneyland Avatar experience.

“As you’ve seen time and time again, we have a unique way of leveraging creative success across multiple businesses and territories and over long periods of time,” Iger added.

The announcement of the new Disneyland Avatar experience follows the discovery that James Cameron’s blockbuster Avatar sequel would become one of the most successful films in history. Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Orlando now has Pandora – The World of Avatar, a section of the park that features two attractions, Avatar Flight of Passage and Na’vi River Journey.

In other news within the realm of Disney, a new Zootopia sequel was announced along with new sequels for Toy Story and Frozen also revealed to be in production. At the international box office, the third and fourth Toy Story movies each brought in over a billion in revenue. In terms of brand-new Avatar movies, Cameron intends to introduce three more in the coming years.
