The UFO-Inspired Louis Vuitton Horizon Speaker Has Surfaced

The Louis Vuitton Horizon speaker can be yours for a measly $3,600

This is not the first launch of the Louis Vuitton Horizon speaker. The French luxury fashion house originally debuted the sonic saucer in 2021. It goes without saying that it easily went viral. Now it’s back in a limited edition silver and looks to hold some form of power in the galaxy.

According to the luxury brand, the idea is that the Louis Vuitton Horizon speaker will serve as an artistic centerpiece of your living room. It’s a mixture of fashion and technology that envisions the form of an ideal portable speaker, by LV of course.

However, the speaker’s overall appearance looks more like a UFO. This is due to the speaker’s construction of glass, stainless steel, leather, 35 LEDs, and the brand’s symbols and logos all over the device’s surface. LV states that the Horizon was inspired by their similarly alien-shaped Toupie handbag, which has a similar, UFO-like design and is marketed for a comparable price range of $2,000 or more.

One of the speaker’s standout features is the illuminated and synchronized Louis Vuitton flower detailing that lights up the brand name around the rim and located directly around the subwoofer. The speaker comes with a leather strap for portability, rubber feet that allow it to be docked flat or on its side. Depending on how it is positioned, it automatically changes its sound signature. While docked, it emits omnidirectional sound. While positioned sideways, it emits unidirectional sound.

Priced at $3,600, the Louis Vuitton Horizon speaker is now available for order on the LV webstore. Order will start shipping out July 31.
