More images of the CLOT x Nike Dunk Cork have been uploaded by Edison Chen
The CLOT x Nike Dunk Cork is the latest variant of dunks to be unveiled by the Hong Kong based streetwear label. Teased by CLOT founder Edison Chen, the “Cork Dunks” are uniquely constructed with cork material to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the company.
The years “2003” and “2023” are printed on each of the heel tabs of the CLOT x Nike Dunk Cork, and the entire top is made of a celebratory cork material. Along with interchangeable Swoosh emblems on the sides, the sneakers also have CLOT branding printed on the medial side.
The collaborators have claimed that this sneaker concept is made to honor self expression and creativity and features a customizable interchangeable set of Swoosh logos. There are six interchangeable Nike Swooshes with Velcro closures. These are made from materials including silk, velvet, and leather. The sneaker is packaged in a highly unique shoebox and includes three more pairs of laces.
“This shoe is supposed to be a blank canvas for you to dream big, and for you to realize your dreams and put your own little motif on a Nike,” said Chen.
This is not Clot’s first Dunk release of the year. The Clot, Nike, and Fragment Design three-way collaboration was launched earlier this month. This variant utilized a white silk construction intended to deteriorate with use, exposing a hidden base layer underneath. Yes, this was immediately sold out after being on sale and that it’s currently selling for some insane prices.
Expect the CLOT x Nike Dunk Cork collaborative sneaker to launch for $150 through a global raffle on June 23 at select JUICE locations.
