American Horror Story Delicate will also include Cara Delevingne and Michaela Jaé Rodriguez
The official trailer for American Horror Story Delicate Part One has arrived, extending the cultural phenomenon and entering its 12th season. This will be the twelfth iteration of Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story and features a star-studded cast that includes American actress Emma Roberts, celebrity Kim Kardashian, English model and actress Cara Delevinge, and many more.
American Horror Story Delicate will be the very first season of the series to be inspired by a book. AHS Delicate will be based on Danielle Valentine’s Delicate Condition, which was released earlier this summer and follows Roberts’ character as faces the challenges of being a parent. About 20 seconds into the trailer, Delevingne arrives, and Roberts claims that her sinisterly anonymous figure is “following her”.
“You have a particular pension for turning dreams into nightmares,” Kardashian’s character tells Roberts. “Stop being hysterical.”
Along with adored series regulars Billie Lourd, Denis O’Hare, and Leslie Grossman, Murphy’s Pose actress Michaela Jaé Rodriguez also makes her acting debut for the series. The upcoming season is being compared to the classic 1968 psychological horror film Rosemary’s Baby and centers on a prominent woman who believes sinister powers are interfering with her pregnancy.
In time for the spooky fall season, American Horror Story Delicate Part One will premiere on FX on September 20. If you’re new to the series, don’t worry too much about catching up as each season’s story is self-contained and is accessible to both fans and newcomers.
