Michael Cera returns in the Netflix Scott Pilgrim anime series
Reuniting the full main cast from 2010’s Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, the forthcoming Netflix Scott Pilgrim anime series will be created by Ben David Grabinski and Bryan Lee O’Malley. This series marks the newest adaptation of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, the popular graphic novel created by O’Malley.

Confirmed voice actors include Cera (Scott Pilgrim), Winstead (Ramona Flowers), Culkin (Wallace Wells), Kendrick (Stacey Pilgrim), Jason Schwartzman (Gideon Graves), Satya Bhabha (Matthew Patel), Chris Evans (Lucas Lee), Brie Larson (Envy Adams), Alison Pill (Kim Pine), Aubrey Plaza (Julie Powers), Brandon Routh (Todd Ingram), Johnny Simmons (Young Neil), Mark Webber (Stephen Stills), Mae Whitman (Roxie), and Ellen Wong (Knives Chau).

Fans should expect a far more authentic adaptation in the Netflix Scott Pilgrim anime series as the anime series will have much more room to delve into the specifics of the graphic novels. Edgar Wright confirmed that the series wouldn’t be “just a straight adaptation of the original books”. Wright told Netflix’s Tudum that the show is “way more adventurous.”
The cherry on top is that chiptune band Anamanguchi, who created the soundtrack for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game, will be returning to provide music for the anime series.
