New Merrell Hydro Runners Are Made With 100% Recycled Webbing And Mesh

50% recycled materials also make up the soles of the Merrell Hydro Runners

With yet another innovative design, hiking footwear company Merrell has presented us with the new Merrell Hydro Runners. Equipped to help us tackle the wetter, winter months, outdoor enthusiasts should be pleased with the company’s latest offering.

This new shoe is the most recent addition to the 1TRL family, and it features a style that unites Merrell’s trail running technology with the design of the brand’s iconic Hydro Moc. Even Merrell 1TRL refers to it as the “next chapter model” of the Hydro Moc, blending the comfort of a traditional sandal with a breathable mesh layer and runner-style bottoms. They look to be super versatile, and look awesome both on and off the trail.

The EVA upper of the Merrell Hydro Runners is adorned with a marble-like design and features oval-shaped holes for breathability. It incorporates lightweight construction and a water-resistant design, allowing wearers to run, walk, or hike in the rain without worrying about slipping or falling.

The permeable mesh not only keeps toes from overheating but also adds further weatherproofing. In order to make it simple to slip on or take off the shoes, nylon pull tabs are built within the rear. The outsoles offer great traction and the soles have just enough grip to keep you safe and secure.

Manufactured with 100% recycled webbing and mesh, the Merrell Hydro Runners also use 50% recycled EVA foam for its sole. They come in both Black/White and White/Black colorways, and are now available on the Merrell website for $150.
