Here’s how to tune in for The Game Awards 2021 this upcoming Thursday
The Game Awards 2021 will be available to stream this Thursday, December 9 on a number of platforms including Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook Live. You can even tune into the YouTube live stream here on HypeSpanic.
Starting at 4:30 PM PT / 7:30 PM ET, The Game Awards 2021 will showcase trailers, reveals, and celebrity cameos, including actors Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss from the Matrix film series. Reggie Fils-Aime, the former head of Nintendo, will also be present at the game awards show.
According to Geoff Keighley, the producer and host of The Game Awards, there will be many AAA publisher games along with world premieres from indie studios and publishers. More than 10 world premieres will be revealed during the pre-show of the game awards. Also announced is the highly anticipated The Matrix Awakens console-only tech demo for Unreal Engine 5.

There is alot to expect from this year’s show as we head into the second year of the new generation of video games after the launch of the Sony PlayStation 5 and Microsoft Xbox Series X. Here is what has been confirmed for this year’s game awards:

- New Sonic The Hedgehog game and movie teaser
- Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League
- Tiny Tina’s Wonderland
- The Lord of the Rings: Gollum
- Trailer for Destiny 2: The Witch Queen
- World premiere trailer for the Halo TV series
Of course the biggest announcement will be who takes the cake for The Game Awards 2021 “Game Of The Year” award. This year’s contenders include the following games:
- Deathloop
- It Takes Two
- Metroid Dread
- Psychonauts 2
- Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
- Resident Evil Village
Let’s not forget the show is close to Hollywood, and we’re expecting numerous celebrity guests to attend live at the show. Here’s a full list of celebrity guests that will be appearing at The Game Awards 2021:

Due to limitations of the pandemic, The Game Awards 2020 was broadcasted from different soundstages last year, but this year’s The Game Awards 2021 will be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
