Vash is back in the Trigun Stampede official trailer
Japanese animation studio Studio Orange gave us a look at the Trigun Stampede official trailer, and anime fans everywhere should be in awe. It’s been over two decades since Yasuhiro Nightow and Madhouse’s Trigun anime series made its premiere in 1998, and it will now undergo a revival on the Crunchyroll anime streaming platform.
The story of the original series was set on the fictitious planet No Man’s Land, and centers on the notorious “Humanoid Typhoon” gunman named Vash the Stampede. Vash is always engaged in battles with bounty hunters who want to collect the huge bounty that’s been placed on his head.
After the events of Lost July, one of the seven cities of No Man’s Land, Trigun Stampede will follow Vash the Stampede and Nicholas D. Wolfwood. On the planet Gunsmoke, the two must track down Vash’s twin brother Knives Millions while battling the Gung-Ho-Guns. Check out the Trigun Stampede official trailer below!
The new Trigun Stampede official trailer showcases breathtaking CG animated action scenes, but it may divide fans who are loyal to the style of the original. Vash is now seen in a new outfit, and the tri-coattail is nowhere to be found. He’s still as badass as ever though.
Trigun Stampede will be directed by Kenji Muto, who is well-known for his work on The Land of the Lustrous. Japanese voice actor Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, who worked on Inosuke Hashibara in Demon Slayer, will voice Vash in Trigun Stampede. The anime will also star the following voice actors:
Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Vash the Stampede
Junya Ikeda as Knives Millions
Tomoyo Kurosawa as Young Vash
Yumiri Hanamori as Young Knives
Maaya Sakamoto as Rem Saverem
When the anime debuts in 2023, Crunchyroll will stream it “in more than 200 countries and territories around the world.”
