The Legend Of Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom Trailer Revealed

The new Tears of the Kingdom trailer announces the anticipated release date

Announced in the new September Nintendo Direct, the Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom trailer shows off the sequel to 2017’s Breath of the Wild. Even while the teaser is brief, it does provide some intriguing hints as to what to expect from the next Hyrulean adventure.

The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom trailer opens with what appears to be an emblem of an owl dressed in regalia, seeming to have a very large role in the upcoming game. Also seen are Sheikah markings on its face, which gives a nod to the ancient race of Hyrule.

Then we get a glance at a stone carving depicting an ancient war between Bokoblins and Moblins, two creatures in the Zelda universe, and Rito soldiers who are also known to be the bird people from Breath of the Wild. It’s fascinating to observe that each of the soldiers are wielding a shield that resembles the Hylian crest but lacking the Triforce symbol.

It’s also important to note that this crest seen in the Zelda Tears of the Kingdom trailer is known as the Goddess Crest, which dates back to the Skyward Sword game and found in Breath of the Wild in Spirit Orbs, symbolizing the goddess Hylia.

As for the protagonist Link, he’s seen dashing and traversing with the Sheikah Slate device as well as new gear. In order to control his skydive, Link spreads his limbs out as he runs for a platform that’s perched off the edge of the floating island, then lands atop a stone bird.

At the end of the trailer, the May 12th, 2023 release date is shown. Those who have waited the full six years are certainly in for a treat.
