The Weeks Ahead trailer gives us a look at what’s to come
HBO Max have revealed The Last of Us (TLOU) The Weeks Ahead trailer following the outstanding premiere of the video game adaptation series. There were a whopping 4.7 million viewers who tuned in this past Sunday. That’s almost three times as much sales as the original video game within its entire launch week!
The TLOU The Weeks Ahead trailer gives us a glimpse at the upcoming journey ahead for Joel and Ellie, the two lead protagonists of the thrilling post-apocalyptic TV series. Taking place twenty years into a pandemic caused by a fungal infection, which leads to the destruction of modern civilization, the two will continue to travel together across the nation and overcome even more horrors in order to survive.
Joel is played by Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian), and Ellie is played by Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones). The series will also feature appearances by Gabriel Luna, Storm Reid, Anna Torv, Jeffrey Pierce, Nick Offerman, Merle Dandridge, Nico Parker, Murray Bartlett, and Con O’Neil.
Characters Bill (Nick Offerman) and Frank (Murray Bartlett) are also shown in the TLOU The Weeks Ahead trailer, who are to be featured in an upcoming episode of the series. Clips of Pittsburgh, one of the biggest portions of the original game, are showcased as well.
With nine episodes set for the first season, it’s looking like viewers and fans of the series are in for a real treat in the weeks ahead (no pun intended). Director Craig Mazin seems to be capturing all of the elements surrounding TLOU while bringing his own originalities. Quality stuff.
