Pre-Register For The Street Fighter Duel Mobile RPG Game

The Street Fighter Duel mobile RPG game releases on iOS and Android this month

2023 is slated to be a big year for the Street Fighter franchise, but as we wait for the launch of SF6, Capcom and Crunchyroll Games have announced the Street Fighter Duel mobile RPG game. As the franchise’s first ever RPG, Street Fighter Duel will debut globally on February 28.

In the Street Fighter Duel mobile RPG game, players are tasked with assembling a fighting team to face off against Shadaloo and S.I.N in the Super Street Fighter IV timeline. The game was initially released in China back in 2020, but its western launch will have a sizable cast of 40 selectable characters.

Aiming to deliver some action on-the-go, Street Fighter Duel is centered around character leveling, character and ability unlocking, fearsome battles, and of course, microtransactions. In the game’s story mode, players will form a team of three fighters to take on Seth and the Shadowloo army.

“Street Fighter has been an iconic game for generations, and we know anime fans love to go on exciting adventures with beloved characters,” said Terry Li, General Manager of Crunchyroll Games. “We’re excited to collaborate with Capcom to bring Street Fighter: Duel and its incredible roster of iconic fighters to anime and gaming fans alike.”

Players can play in real-time RPG combat or use the auto-battling function. The game will use card mechanics, 2D battles, and allow the players to tap the screen to execute character combos. Both new and classic Street Fighter stages will also be featured.

Those who pre-register now will receive extra amounts of in-game currencies, along with an avatar frame and a character box. If the game obtains enough pre-registrations, further reward tiers will be made available.

The Street Fighter Duel mobile RPG game won’t cure the itch for the forthcoming Street Fighter 6, but fans of the franchise can get their SF fix next Tuesday on both the Apple App Store and Google Play.
