Even aluminum foil overlays are included on the Adidas NMD R1 V2 Professor Chaos shoe
Shortly following the South Park x Adidas crossovers from earlier this year, the Adidas NMD R1 V2 Professor Chaos shoes will be arriving in 2022. Out of the collection (Stan, Kyle, Kenny, Butters), the Adidas Professor Chaos shoes are probably the most unique and eye-catching of the four pairs.
Inspired by the South Park character Leopold “Butters” Scotch’s alter ego Professor Chaos, his own fantasized supervillain, this sneaker for sure captures Butters’ costume materials and colorway. At first glance, any South Park fan could immediately catch the similarities between the NMD R1 V2 Professor Chaos and Professor Chaos himself.
The NMD R1 V2 Professor Chaos features an aqua light blue Adidas Primeknit base, a breathable material that supports the foot snug like a sock. The wrinkled aluminum foil overlay accents are a perfect reference to Butters’ Professor Chaos costume that uses aluminum foil on his helmet, gloves, and boots. It’s almost Doctor Doom-esque, nice try Butters.
Additional details include neon yellow/green laces that resemble Butters’ hair. “PROFESSOR CHAOS” is branded at the rear while the signature forehead logo is located on the shoe’s tongue tag. Green rubber outsoles match Professor Chaos’ pants. Just like any other Adidas NMD R1 V2, the midsole is cushioned with the Adidas Boost technology.
There is even a special edition shoe box that comes with the Adidas NMD R1 V2 Professor Chaos. Set to release in 2022, the South Park x Adidas Professor Chaos shoes will be priced at $160 USD. We are expecting these to launch in the near future at select retailers and on Adidas.com.
