The Dunkman reintroduces his Shaq Attaq OG basketball shoes later this month
Making its return, the Reebok Shaq Attaq OG basketball shoes are finally hitting store shelves and the Reebok online store on September 22. Reebok is now preparing to bring back Shaquille O’Neal’s renowned signature shoe after further exploring its huge basketball collection.
Shaquille O’Neal, who towered over seven feet tall, had a great influence on the hardwood during his rookie NBA season. Shaq and Reebok joined together to make him the first athlete to have an official signature shoe in recognition of his enormous effect on the court.
Originally created back in 1992, the Reebok Shaq Attaq OG basketball shoes serve to capture the characteristics of the NBA rookie sensation. These iconic sneakers are made of high-quality materials and come in the Orlando Magic white, black, and blue colorway — Ftwr White, Core black, and Azure to be exact with Reebok’s naming conventions.
Judy Close, a former Reebok designer, designed the Shaq Attaq to incorporate cutting edge Reebok footwear technology. With the ‘Dunkman’ emblem printed on the interior of the tongue, heel, and insoles, the well-liked Pump-lace fastening tech is back and embodies the raw power play style of the then Orlando Magic center while providing comfort and performance.
Carbon fiber “Graphlite” footplates and Shaq’s branding complete the shoe’s look along with the integrated crosscheck and side stripe in the midsole followed by the synthetic collar. Over the course of 30 years, the popular Shaq Attaq continues to be manufactured and is available in a variety of colors and re-releases, including the OG colorway drop in 1992, 2013, 2017, and 2022.
The Shaq Attaq OG basketball shoes will cost $170 and will become available on September 22 at 9:00 PM PDT on the Reebok website.
