Fans don’t have to wait much longer for Bungie’s Destiny 2 Lightfall expansion
Bungie’s next effort to follow up 2022’s The Witch Queen is the highly anticipated Destiny 2 Lightfall expansion set to release on February 28. This next expansion marks Destiny 2’s sixth year and it’s bound to be a massive addition to the free-to-play online FPS adventure game.
Along with the brand new location Neomuna set on planet Neptune, a new story, legendary mode, and a full set of armor are all included in the expansion. Additionally, new Destiny 2 Strand subclasses including the Threadrunner, Broodweaver, and Berserker will be usable. The Witness, the most potent foe in the Destiny universe, stands out among all the most recent additions.
The in-game mechanisms for raids, strikes, and dungeons will all change as the Destiny 2 Lightfall expansion is released. This could bring in some balanced features that keep the game fresh. With the additions and enhancements, Lightfall hopes to provide Destiny fans and newcomers a wholly original and unmatched experience like no other.
Year 6 is arguably the most important year to the Destiny franchise as the penultimate expansion leads up to the saga’s conclusion with The Final Shape launching in 2024. We’re super excited to play the new Destiny 2 Strand subclass and witness (no pun intended) all the new features it brings to the space soap opera gameplay experience.
