Many Sony PlayStation fans are struggling to purchase the PlayStation 5 because of high demand. When Sony announced the news the PlayStation 5 restock sold out instantly.

Sony recently announced on Twitter that they would be restocking the PS5. As the fans expected the PlayStation 5 restock sold out instantly, leaving gamers empty-handed and envious of anyone who was lucky enough to get the PS5.

The PS5 restock happened a little bit differently this time, Sony decided to make the only way possible to purchase the console is with Sony Rewards points. A limit of one PS5 per customer was made from Sony. The console being restocked was announced on the Sony Rewards Twitter account, so if you want to be notified fast about a restock that is an excellent account to follow and have notifications on for.

The console restock was on the 15th of January. Sony tweeted, “So… that was fast. We’ve sold out of PS5 consoles. As soon as we have more stock, we’ll let members know. Thanks for your understanding.”. Even Sony themselves are surprised by the high demand for their consoles even when they make it more difficult to purchase a console with reward points.

The Rewards Twitter account gave new on January 14th that they would be a restock the following day, the 15th. Sony stated in the tweet,” You might want to turn on post notifications.”. Sony was hinting for the fans to be ready for a fast sell-out and have their notification on to be the first to read the message.

No specific time was given out to the people looking out to buy the sought after PS5. Now for all the people who missed the release, do not worry because there will be many more future releases of the console in the future.
