The Nike SB Dunk Low Dodgers will release on October 1
We’ve now got a closer look at the upcoming MLB inspired Nike SB Dunk Low Dodgers colorway. The new scheme of the silhouette comes after a string of baseball-themed colorways that pay tribute to MLB teams including the New York Mets, the Philadelphia Phillies, and the San Francisco Giants.
By using the LA Dodgers’ traditional color combination of “Deep Royal Blue/White-Sport Red-Gum Light Brown,” the Nike SB Dunk Low Dodgers honors the baseball club that’s currently leading the MLB’s National League West Division. The upper of the sneaker is made of white leather, which is contrasted by Dodger Blue suede overlays and red embellishments on the tongue and heels, matching the Dodger home jerseys.
Found under the left tongue are graphics of a palm tree, representing the famous palm trees that are scattered around the pavilions of Dodger Stadium. Under the right tongue is the Dodger Stadium “Welcome” sign, similar to the Giants Dunk with its hidden artwork below the tongue. The design is completed by a white midsole and a gum rubber outsole with a pink bubble gum mark on the right heel.
At a suggested retail price of $120, the Nike SB Dunk Low Dodgers will be arriving in family sizing at select local skate shops starting on September 30 and is also scheduled for an October 1 stateside release on the Nike SNKRS app. Overseas retailers have already released the pair months back.
