Priced at $180, the Jordan 1 Washed Black is scheduled to arrive June 10
In another addition to the washed aesthetic family comes the Air Jordan 1 Washed Black from the Big Swoosh. We got our first glimpse a year ago but now we finally can get our hands on the highly anticipated colorway next month.
This Jordan 1 Washed Black sneaker has a smooth white leather base that is covered in Black worn suede all over and is specifically made to seem vintage. The winged basketball logo, which has been circulating since the middle of the 1980s, is also present on the collar, which is delicately contrasted in a “Light Smoke Grey” color.
Nike’s trademark Swoosh floats across the lateral and medial sidewalls, while further branding in the fiery “Fire Red” shade strikes the tongue tag. All of this is placed on top of Nike’s lauded Air midsole, which has been painted a creamy tone to give the impression that it has traveled through time.
Simple and clean, the AJ1 Washed Black takes on a suede variant of Michael Jordan’s first signature shoe, something we’ve grown accustomed to with the release of “Stage Haze” in the past. This time around, the suede overlays feature a hint of dryness to them that make it feel on the rougher side. It’s a unique detail to look at, and sneaker heads may feel indifferent about it.
With an expected release date of June 10, the arrival of the Air Jordan 1 Washed Black has not yet been confirmed by Nike, but the shoe will surely be priced at $180 like many other AJ1s.
