New Black Adam Trailer Debuts At San Diego Comic-Con

Dwayne Johnson delivers new Black Adam trailer at SDCC 2022

Rising from the stage floor at San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H, Dwayne Johnson appeared during the Warner Bros. Discovery’s dramatic presentation wearing a full Black Adam costume to showcase the new Black Adam trailer. Smoke flowed on the floor while lightning strikes flashed on-screen behind him.

“Hall H, you have been warned,” said Johnson as he held the stage as Black Adam. “The DC Universe will never be the same again.”

The actor and former professional WWE wrestler then revealed the new Black Adam trailer, giving fans a glimpse of the tragedy of Black Adam’s (Teth-Adam) past. Nearly 5,000 years after receiving the abilities of the Egyptian gods, the antihero has been freed from his tomb and is prepared to wreak his brand of justice on the world. Take a look at the new Black Adam trailer below!

Aside from Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam, the Jaume Colle-Serra directed film also stars Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher; Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone; and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate. Sarah Shahi and Uli Latukefu have also been casted but are in unnspecified roles.

“I started training for Black Adam when I came out of the womb,” said Johnson. “I believe I was born to play this character. But in all honesty, this project has been with me for 10 ten years now. The process began when we started to stand the material up and really developed it into what it is present day. Once the start date was agreed on by our Seven Bucks production company, the rest of my team, Warner Bros. Studio, and DC Comics, I started to build an exhaustive training program with my coach Dave Rienzi. I wanted to come into this in the best shape of my career.”

Black Adam will unleash in theaters October 21.
