Multiversus Season 1 Is Finally Here

Black Adam and Stripe revealed as Multiversus Season 1 launches today

Multiversus Season 1 is now live and introduces a new battle pass along with a list of upcoming updates to WB’s platform fighting game. DC’s Black Adam and Stripe from Gremlins will be joining the roster along with Morty from Rick and Morty.

According to new artwork for Player First Games’ Multiversus Season 1, it was revealed that the Black Adam and Stripe are scheduled to come on board. Black Adam joins DC characters Harley Quinn and Batman as well as Superman, Wonder Woman, and other superheroes. The former antagonist and arch-enemy of  DC’s Captain Marvel naturally shows up in MultiVersus as the Black Adam film prepares to hit theaters.

Stripe’s arrival also comes as a huge surprise, and no doubt will become a popular pick upon its arrival. Stripe comes just in time as Gremlins 3 is under development. No timetable has been provided for both Black Adam and Stripe but Player First Games did confirm that Morty is set to launch on August 23. As of now, we don’t know when his grandpa will show up.

The 17 characters who make up the current roster of MultiVersus can be unlocked with in-game currency obtained through gameplay or premium currency purchased from the game’s marketplace. Characters including Harry Potter, Fred Flintstone, and Gizmo from Gremlins were said to be coming to the game in a datamine leak from back in March.

Players may level up and acquire cosmetics through the MultiVersus Season 1 battle pass by completing daily and weekly missions. In order to make several tasks easier to complete, Player First Games made some adjustments based on feedback from the game’s preseason. Class-based missions have been removed except for Tank-based missions.

A new character rotation is  available from August 15 through August 30. During this time, Arya, Batman, LeBron James, and Steven are free to use. Check out more details of the new season here.

MultiVersus is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, and Windows PC.
