The Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre teaser reveals a January 19 premiere
A new Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre teaser was shared by Netflix, featuring a short clip of what’s to come in the frightful anime series based upon 20 of manga creator Junji Ito’s most popular works.
This specific teaser showcases one of the stories from the manga Tomie, specifically Tomie: Photo. Tomie and Uzumaki are perhaps two of Ito’s most well-known compositions. A portion of the plot of Tomie was also included in the 2018 Junji Ito Collection anime OVA series. Tomie has also been turned into live-action TV and film series.
