Professor Jones Returns In The Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny Trailer

Take at look at the Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny trailer

A new Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny trailer has surfaced, setting up the film’s plot as Jones’ goddaughter is interested in some mystical dial that has the power to alter history. Jones suggests that she simply live her life, however he unavoidably finds himself drawn back into the world of battling Nazis and beating up bad guys.

Harrison Ford returns to his legendary role as Indiana Jones. Others to join the cast include Antonio Banderas, John Rhys-Davies, Shaunette Renee Wilson, Thomas Kretschmann, Toby Jones, Boyd Holbrook, Olivier Richters, and Ethann Isidore. Steven Spielberg, who will continue as an executive producer with George Lucas, will hand over the directing duties to James Mangold.

That makes it the first ever Indiana Jones film to not be directed by Spielberg, who directed all four of the previous installments: Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), The Temple of Doom (1984), The Last Crusade (1989) and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008). Still, the film stays to its roots as seen in the The Dial of Destiny trailer.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Mangold stated, “I wanted to follow Harrison’s own lead and simply deal with it straight on. It’s not just a movie about a hero in his twilight years who is called back into action. It’s more than just that his bones might ache, it’s that his soul might ache, or that some of his optimism or sense fitting into the world might have evaporated.”

Composer John Williams is back to score The Dial of Destiny. Producers include Simon Emanuel, Frank Marshall, and Kathleen Kennedy. The fifth installment of the Indiana Jones series is scheduled to premiere in theaters this year in June.
