We’re Finally Nearing A Hollow Knight Silksong Release Date

There’s been a hint for the Hollow Knight Silksong release date

With a new trailer at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022, there still hasn’t been a confirmation on the Hollow Knight Silksong release date, but we do know that it will launch on Xbox Game Pass on day one. Xbox did confirm in a tweet that the game will launch sometime within the next 12 months.

This means the Hollow Knight Silksong release date can come anywhere between now and June 12 of next year. The sequel to 2017’s award-winning “Metroidvania” action-adventure game has been on Hollow Knight fans’ waitlists for years now. It’s mind boggling how they have to suffer five years for a Hollow Knight Silksong release date. At least the game looks very fluid as Team Cherry has taken quality time to put in quality work.

The sequel has Hornet, the protagonist, taken prisoner and transported to Pharloom, a mysterious and eerie land that is rumored to be “haunted by Silk and Song.” In order to learn why she was sent to this realm, Hornet must scale this kingdom’s highest point to reach a citadel. Almost a mirror reflection from the first game which dives deep into the depths of Hallowenest, Silksong ascends the player into new heights as Hornet encounters several formidable foes along her journey, including assassins, warriors, and knights.

In the recent gameplay trailer featured at the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase 2022, Hollow Knight Silksong shows protagonist Hornet using silk to heal instead of soul. Instead of having to stop and repair one mask at a time like the Knight, she can nearly instantaneously restore three masks of damage while she is moving. The creators were able to make the game more challenging than Hollow Knight thanks to this adjustment, which was intended to quicken the game’s pace.

Aside from launching on Xbox Game Pass, Hollow Knight Silksong will also be available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
