Atreus Hides A Secret In The God Of War Ragnarök Story Trailer

The God Of War Ragnarök story trailer debuted at State of Play September

It appears that our future meeting with Kratos and Atreus will be another amazing journey as the God of War Ragnarök story trailer was showcased at the PlayStation State of Play September. Being one of the most eagerly awaited new games for 2022, the most recent sneak peek has further heightened the anticipation for the sequel to 2018’s God of War.

The God of War Ragnarök story trailer allowed fans to see the father and son enter battle and to witness the mounting tension between them as they struggle to defend each other in the Nine Realms. An older, more self-assured Atreus, serves as a reminder that time has gone since the conclusion to the story of the previous God of War.

Intriguing new characters have been introduced, such as Angrboda, who according to game developer Sony Santa Monica is “one of the last remaining giants.” Tyr, the son of Odin and the half-brother of Thor and Baldur, also makes an appearance in the trailer as imprisoned by his father.

In addition to learning more about the game’s features, the State of Play September also presented us with the introduction of a Ragnarök collector’s edition and a special limited edition Ragnarök DualSense controller.

It’s been some time since the game was first first shown in 2021 during the PS5 demonstration, but the God of War Ragnarök story trailer comes at no better time as the game is set to release this year on November 9. Sony Santa Monica studios sure knows how to give us an early Christmas present.
