The glow in the dark TOMBOGO x Saucony The Butterfly colorway has been revealed by the TOMBOGO official Instagram account. This is the second colorway of the highly praised silhouette that was debuted by Tommy Bogo last February during the New York Fashion Week.
The foam clog trend isn’t stopping, and Tommy Bogo has introduced another great color combination in his collaboration with the American sportswear company. In our opinion, we would definitely rock these over the original grey/red colorway.
Keeping the same three-in-one style of the original Butterfly, the glow in the dark TOMBOGO features a neoprene sock liner that’s both tight and supportive. The sockliner is attached to the minty green foam outer shell exoskeleton of the shoe, with breathable cut-outs on the forefoot, toe boxes, and heels.
As the name of the variant states, the entire shoe glows in the dark when charged by UV or sunlight, emitting a ghastly green color in dim and dark conditions. If you were to ask us, this is probably the perfect go-to shoe to wear for laser tag. Sorry, we just had to put that out there.
The TOMBOGO x Saucony The Butterfly comes stamped with the TOMBOGO branding on the shoe’s lateral heel. It also features pull tabs on both the tongue and the heel.
Although there’s no exact date for its release, the Glow In The Dark TOMBOGO x Saucony The Butterfly foam clogs will go on sale in 2023 and retail for $120 in men’s sizes. TOMBOGO did state that these will be a limited edition release, so make sure to keep tabs on their website in the coming months.
