Travel to Element City in the Elemental Pixar animated movie
On its way to theaters this summer, the upcoming Elemental Pixar animated movie has launched its official trailer. The romantic-comedy film follows Ember Lumen, a fire element, and Wade Ripple, a water element, who discover that aside from their differences, they sure do have a whole lot in common.
Set in Element City, the film’s primary location, the four basic elements are water, fire, land, and air. Ember is shown walking very carefully in public to prevent accidentally setting strangers on fire. The Elemental official trailer showcases a new animation style that departs from that of prior Pixar movies and promises a mesmerizing visual extravaganza.
Element City is modeled after major urban areas throughout the world and incorporates theorized contributions from each elemental civilization, including enormous structures made of pine, waterfall towers, and even an arena named Cyclone Stadium that’s built like a tornado.
Leah Lewis plays the witty Ember, while Mamoudou Athie voices the free flowing Wade. Ronnie del Carmen, Shila Ommi, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Catherine O’Hara, Mason Wertheimer, and Joe Pera are additional cast members featured in the Elemental Pixar animated movie.
Peter Sohn, who worked on Pixar’s The Incredibles and Finding Nemo, is making his directorial debut for the Elemental Pixar animated movie. Peter Doctor, who wrote Inside Out, Soul, and Wall-E, as well as Brenda Hsueh from How I Met Your Mother and Truth Be Told, join Sohn as the film’s executive producers.
Disney and Pixer will premiere Elemental in theaters worldwide this summer on June 16. Check out the entire Elemental official trailer below!
