Cloverfield is Getting a New Sequel
The film Cloverfield is Getting a New Sequel and there are high hopes for the follow-up film.
The original film was released in 2008 and received a 7/10 on IMDb and a 77% Rotten Tomatoes score. The film raised over $170 million dollars in the box office and the film garnered a large fan base. The reviews were great so Paramount Pictures decided that Cloverfield is Getting a New Sequel.
The original Cloverfield film was shot in a “found footage” layout that made the film appear as if someone was filming the whole movie on a handheld video camera. It is rumored that the follow-up film would not be utilizing the same video format as the previous film. Producer J.J Abrams will be back again to produce this movie alongside Hannah Minghella and Joe Barton is writing the script for the Cloverfield new sequel.
The 2008 Cloverfield movie is shot mainly in modern-day New York and it is about a large beast monster that terrorizes the city and destroys skyscrapers killing thousands. Since this movie was dropped in 2008 a few remakes of the film were made like in 2016 10 Cloverfield Lane was released then another film in 2018 named The Cloverfield Paradox. The Cloverfield Paradox released on Netflix but did not do as well as expected the film received a 5.5/10 on IMDb and only a 20% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Not much information has been given on the Cloverfield new sequel, but we do know it is in the making coming soon for all eyes to see.
