Biohazard Death Island Premiere Date Confirmed

Have you been dying to know when Biohazard Death Island premieres?

Revealing a July 7 release for Japan, the Biohazard Death Island premiere date has been confirmed as the animated film’s official trailer was recently showcased by Japanese publisher Kadokawa. The film is set to become the sequel to 2017’s Resident Evil Vendetta, which served as a gateway between the Resident Evil 6 and Resident Evil 7 video games.

On a side note for those who don’t know, the Resident Evil franchise is known as Biohazard in Japan, hence the different titles for the series of installments. Prior to the announcement of the Biohazard Death Island premiere date, we can see in the trailer that the plotline surrounds Leon S. Kennedy’s mission to rescue Dr. Anthonio Taylor. Fellow franchise survivors Chris Redfield, Claire Redfield, Rebecca Chambers, and Jill Valentine will be accompanying him.

The groups are on separate missions as Leon tracks down the kidnappers who captured Dr. Antonio Taylor while Chris, Claire, Rebecca, and Jill investigate the increase of infections on Alcatraz Island. They run into each other on the prison island while completing their tasks, providing fans with an action-packed adventure.

Eiichir Hasumi, the director of Assassination Classroom, produced the Death Island film alongside Makoto Fukami, the screenwriter of Berserk. Although there’s no confirmation of a release in the United States, Resident Evil Vendetta did launch in both the U.S. and Canada in 2017, so we expect a Resident Evil Death Island to be announced in the near future.

If you missed the date earlier, Biohazard Death Island premieres on July 7. Watch the full trailer below.
