The Atlas Fallen release date confirmed for May 16
Developer Deck13 Interactive and publisher Focus Entertainment have confirmed the Atlas Fallen release date following the launch of the official trailer for the upcoming third-person action RPG. First unveiled at last year’s Gamescom Opening Night Live event, the game has drawn a lot of interest and attention due to the game’s distinctive movement capabilities that let the player move throughout the sand-based universe.
The game’s appealing aesthetics also serve to explain why it was only released for the current generation of consoles. Set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC, those still dwelling on last-gen tech might need to make that upgrade sooner than later.
Players also have the option to design their own player avatars at the start of the game. The player is equipped with an ancient gauntlet that allows them to manipulate sand, and with the gauntlet, players can shape the sand around them into weapons. It’s important to note that you can play the game alone or with a friend in co-op since it’s not a live service game.
Launching May 16, the Atlas Fallen release date can’t come any sooner, and we’re pretty hyped to check out the multiple regions to explore along with the various side quests to indulge in. Movement tech has been an important factor of gameplay that many developers have slept on, so it’s refreshing to see Deck13 Interactive’s new project to focus on these types of game mechanics.
Check out the official trailer below, and if you’ve missed it prior, the Atlas Fallen release date is on May 16.
