Apex Legends Warriors Collection Event Is Live

The Apex Legends Warriors Collection Event runs from March 29 through April 12

Control mode is back with an all-new Arenas map in the Apex Legends Warriors Collection Event. Those who have been waiting for the Crypto heirloom can finally get their hands on the Biwon Blade.

The beginning of Apex Legends Season 12 Defiance introduced new character Mad Maggie, new limited-time matchmaking mode Control, and a reworked version of the Olympus map. Now as we head toward the second half of the season, the Apex Legends Warriors Collection Event has finally been revealed.

Control is now back in session after many requests from the community. The 9v9 mode now returns as part of the Apex Legends Warriors Collection Event and takes place in King’s Canyon at the Caustic’s Treatment location. The space has been enhanced with more cover, ziplines, skydiving launchers, and also a hover tank. Repawn’s goal was to balance the space and improve the flow of traffic to the points.

A brand new map named “Drop-Off” has been added to the Arenas mode. Drop-Off is set high above the skyline of Malta and inside the Hammond Manufacturing Tower. There are two main points of interest held at the interiors and exteriors of Drop-Off. The Observation Deck and Deployment Line are located on the interior, while the Loading Bay is located on the exterior. Both offer different lines of sight and vantage points.

Last but not least, Crypto’s heirloom has arrived and is available to unlock after completing the Warriors cosmetic collection. Like other heirlooms in the game, the Biwon Blade offers special exclusive animations. Crypto can be seen taking out an old photo of his family which adds some backstory to the character.

Owners of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will also receive some long awaited updates. Native next-gen versions of Apex Legends will finally be released when the Apex Legends Warriors Collection Event goes live, enabling native 4K and HDR to EA’s battle royale experience on consoles. Other features to be added in the future will include 120hz gameplay, adaptive triggers, haptics, and audio/visual improvements.
