Apex Legends Awakening Collection Event Begins Today!

Jump in the anime themed Apex Legends Awakening Collection Event

The Apex Legends Awakening Collection Event is now live and comes with map updates, patches, and most importantly, more cosmetics. There’s now a new point of interest on Olympus called “Lifeline’s Clinic” that allows players to relax and replenish their health. The fan-favorite Control mode is finally back. Also, a bunch of anime references can be found within the character skins. Let’s dive into the details.

A new structure is located in the northeastern part of Olympus, tucked between Gardens and Grow Towers. Located on the main floor in the heart of the Clinic’s main floor is the new Med-bay where players can access heals. Players who have any amount of health to replenish will always have a heal tether attached to them while they are standing on the platform, as long as the Med-bay is charged.

Additionally, the holo-displays in the Med-bay will show if someone is currently healing or whether the Med-bay is recharging. There’s also an “Emergency Platform” towards the back of the room that provides a Care Package once per match, so make sure to hop on that quick!

Control LTM Is Back

The Control limited time mode has returned as part of the Apex Legends Awakening Collection Event with World’s Edge included in the map rotation. The following new features have been added that will help improve the matchmaking and the overall player experience:

  • Introduce Ad Drones to Control for flavor & storytelling purposes
  • Matchmaking improvement – Fill slots of missing players at the start of Control with new players to prevent imbalanced matches
  • Added tabs to the About screen – seen in Lobby and accessible in Control matches
  • One of the new tabs has a breakdown of Ratings values
  • The other has a breakdown of how the spawn system works

We don’t want to spoil too much here but the cosmetics for the Apex Legends Awakening Collection Event are the drippiest we’ve seen in some time. Loba’s Ultraman skin should speak for itself. There will be 24 limited-time cosmetics available for direct purchase. Those who unlock all 24 will receive Valkyrie’s long awaited heirloom, the “Suzaku” trident. If splurging isn’t your thing, players can wait two weeks for the new heirloom to arrive in the heirloom store.

Players can earn up to 1,600 points per day, which resets on a daily basis, and all challenges will stack with the Battle Pass. The Green Ranger bow and new Havoc Skin are some of the best weapons skins we’ve seen in the game. Even the Pathfinder skin is looking clean.
