Official images of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG UNC Toe have just dropped and it looks to be a Tar Heel favorite. This cherished silhouette is one of the most sought after models in the whole Nike lineup, and not solely within the Jordan collection. While there are numerous things deserving of notice, few match the perfection displayed by the impending colorway His Airness’ alma mater, the University of North Carolina.
The ankle flaps and lower heel overlays of the Retro High OG UNC Toe are accented with “University Blue” in Tar Heel fashion, while the quarter panels and midsoles are covered in white. The solid black Swooshes, laces, tongues, ball-and-wings branding, and forefoot overlays that distinguish this version from others let it stand out from the rest of the AJ1 variants.
Like all other Air Jordan 1 Retro High OGs, the sneakers feature a Nike Air midsole underfoot, which hasn’t changed at all since it made its debut in the 1980s. “University Blue” hues can be seen on the collar, heel, and toe box.
